Having been an unwell child herself, Elise knows what it is like to spend time in hospital.
Her mother Sarah Forster said together they raised $300 for the appeal.
“She hasn't been to the Royal Children's Hospital but she has been in four different hospitals in the district, so she knows exactly how it feels to be sick and in hospital,” she said.
“Originally she wasn't interested in replacing her toys but now she's asking questions like ‘will it buy them pens or an iPad’ — she knows she's helping sick children.
“It's also to remove the idea that we have birthday parties for presents not birthday parties for our friends.”
Party guests were asked to bring $6 to match the six-year-old's theme, but a total of $100 was raised.
“I matched that on Facebook through my friends and family, and we got some other donations,” Ms Forster said.
The money was collected by the Cobram-Barooga Kiwanis Club, with members counting the community's donations to the Good Friday Appeal since 1985.
“You would be surprised how many people in Cobram have kids who are affiliated with the children's hospital, it touches an enormous amount of lives,” club member Mick Briody said.
“Part of the ethos afterwards is that the hospital looked after them, so they will do the same.”
Those who wish to donate to the Good Friday Appeal can visit Cobram Fire Brigade on Friday, April 2 from 8 am to 5 pm.
A donation tin will be placed outside Cobram's Safeway on Thursday, April 1.
