The popular Booligal Sheep Races will return on Saturday, October 3, with organisers preparing for another strong turnout at one of the Riverina's most distinctive community events.

Held at the Booligal Cricket Ground, the annual event attracts visitors from across the region and beyond, offering a uniquely Australian mix of sheep racing, family entertainment and country hospitality.
Gates are set to open at 11am, with affordable admission ensuring the day remains accessible for families, travellers and community groups.
The sheep races remain the centrepiece of the event, with patrons able to hire a racing sheep and cheer it on through a series of 20 heats featuring five sheep in each race.
Organisers are also expected to auction 10 sheep following the eighth heat, adding another layer of excitement to the day's program.
Away from the track, visitors will be able to enjoy an all-day barbecue, refreshments and a range of children's activities, providing entertainment for all ages throughout the afternoon.
