Fundraising efforts for the Katamatite Lions Silo Art has now reached more than $22,000 as key organisations come together, bringing the project to fruition.
The Katamatite Lions will also be hosting another fundraising market off the back of their very successful market last month.
The market will run on Saturday, April 2, between 9am and 1pm with 40 stallholders expected in the Katamatite Police Paddock Park.
All funds raised from the stallholders will go directly to funding the silo art, but funds from the regular barbecue will go to supporting women and children refugees from the Ukrainian war crisis.
Attendees will also be able to donate directly to either cause of their choosing.
The group has been coordinating with VicRoads, VicTrack, Graincorp and Moira Shire and is hoping soon to have a contract signed to get the silo art project going.
They group has also received a $9667 grant from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
