This week, officers from Cobram Police Station and members of Cobram Neighbourhood Watch are holding their latest Coffee with a Cop session, aiming to break down barriers and build greater accessibility to local law enforcement.
Cobram police Senior Sergeant Nathan Ractliffe said the event was open to anyone.
“The Neighbourhood Watch committee from Cobram have kindly put up the money to buy coffees for the day,” he said.
“[Community members] get to speak to all the ranks and, more importantly, they get to speak to the local police that are on the street.”
Everyone has their own heart-warming drink of choice, with Sen Sgt Ractliffe no exception.
“I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth,” he said.
“But a latte with two sugars, and I’m pretty happy.”
The Coffee with a Cop session will be held on Thursday, August 21, at Ambience Cafe on Punt Rd, Cobram, from 10am-12pm.
