The Benalla and District Social Inclusion Action Group is currently seeking expressions of interest from community members, local leaders and organisations who are passionate about building a more inclusive Benalla Rural City.

Supported by Benalla Rural City Council, SIAG is a community-led initiative that focuses on strengthening social inclusion and building a connected, welcoming environment for all — regardless of background, identity, ability or experience.

“By joining SIAG’s efforts, you’re helping create a community where everyone feels welcome, respected and supported,” Cr Hearn said.

“That’s a powerful goal — and it’s one we can only achieve together.”

SIAG is inviting expressions of interest for new committee members and welcoming partnerships with groups who are keen to collaborate on inclusion-focused initiatives.

“Benalla Rural City is stronger when everyone feels like they belong,” Cr Hearn said.

“Whether you’re an individual with lived experience, a local advocate, or a representative from a service provider — your voice matters.”

The expressions of interest close on Monday, August 18 at 9am.
