One local won't be forgetting last weekend any time soon.
Why? Because he has a million reasons, or more specifically 959,274 reasons, not to.
The Cobram man, who wished to remain anonymous, bagged $928,000 in Saturday's TattsLotto draw as one of seven winning division one entries across Australia.
In addition to the main jackpot, he also nabbed division three 30 times, division four 150 times and division six 200 times to take the total haul to $959,274.27.
Upon hearing the news he'd struck pay dirt, the man was bewildered — and voiced it in typical Aussie fashion.“Are you serious! That’s incredible! Sensational! Bloody oath!” he said once he found out about the massive win.“No way! I had no idea as I didn’t get an email to say I had won.“I thought it mustn’t have been a winner! I can’t believe it!“What fantastic news — I’ve just told the wife we’ve won over nine hundred grand and she’s nearly in tears.”When asked how he planned to enjoy the windfall, the thrilled winner revealed he would put it to good use for his family’s future.“I don’t know how I will enjoy it just yet. I think I’ll need to let it sink in a bit more first,” he said.“But I’ll definitely invest it, so it helps my family for years to come. It will help set our kids up and might buy us a few new things too.”
