Twelve new arrivals were welcomed onto the site on Thursday, November 24, taking the total of people living at the Elmore Field Days site to 96 residents.
The arrivals are occurring on an almost daily basis as contractors complete the construction of units and the connection to utilities which have been put in place at the site.
Across the state, there have been 1347 people referred to emergency accommodation since the flood event commenced.
As at November 24, 180 are at the Centre for National Resilience (CNR) in Melbourne, 96 at Elmore and 1071 referred through serviced accommodation — hotels, motels and other temporary housing.
The Elmore site is being run under the auspices of Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV), with Johns Lyng Group managing the construction of the site and the Downer Group in charge of daily operations on the site.
The Flood Recovery Hotline is the first point of call for people who require financial help, clean-up assistance, temporary accommodation or mental health support.
The 1800 560 760 hotline is the single, state-wide number that Victorians impacted by the 2022 floods can call for help or assistance
Operators can assist impacted individuals and households register for: available supports; clean-up registration; temporary accommodation; mental health and wellbeing support.
