Crucial roadworks are taking place in and around Seymour this month.
Mitchell Shire Council and the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning are conducting these works to improve road surfaces and safety at key sites across the shire.
Some projects will overlap, and detours will be in place to maintain a steady flow of traffic.
Roadworks sites in Seymour
High St, Seymour
The High St and Wallis St roundabout will be resurfaced overnight, from 6pm to 6am, on Thursday, June 19 and Sunday, June 22, with detours to be in place via the Goulburn Valley Hwy and Redbank Rd.
On Thursday, June 19 and Friday, June 20, day works will take place on High St between Crawford St and the Wallis St roundabout — the same detours as above will be in place.
Anzac Ave, Seymour
The Department of Transport and Planning will be resurfacing the Anzac Ave underpass on Sunday, June 22, with works to take place between 6pm and 6am.
There will be a partial closure of Anzac Ave. Traffic will still be able to leave the Station St roundabout and head towards Yea, but vehicles travelling from the south/east side of Seymour will need to detour via the High St level crossing and Redbank Rd.
Tall vehicles will be directed to use the Goulburn Valley Hwy and Redbank Rd.
Council has created a High St detour map, which can be found at tinyurl.com/2m5ucrr2
