In November last year, the Lake Eppalock Technical Assessment Report was released.
This survey is about helping the government better understand the benefits and negative impacts of the option investigated in the report.
Flood Recovery Committee Member Tracie Kyne said it’s essential that the people who were affected by the floods get a say.
“We need to be heard. It needs to be more than what the government thinks or whatever is the cheapest option,” she said.
“We need to be heard as a community, and we need to say what would suit us best.
There are face-to-face sessions with project officers about the Lake Eppalock Assessment for people who still have questions.
You can book a 30-minute session for Tuesday, March 26, between 8.30am and noon at 41 High St, Rochester, by emailing assessments@delwp.vic.gov.au.
Ms Kyne said that local assistance is available for people who need help with the forms themselves.
“Community House and the Recovery Hub have paper-based surveys that people can go in and get some assistance to fill them out. Otherwise, it can be done online,” she said.
The surveys need to be submitted by April 30, 2024 and can be filled at engage.vic.gov.au/project/lake-eppalock-technical-assessment/survey/4753
