On Wednesday this week, the last of the general admission tickets for the October 4 and 5 event were sold.
It means there will be no tickets available at the gate for the first time in the event’s 27 event-history.
And the new Saturday-only tickets, available only in a limited number, were released and sold out yesterday too.
Muster general manager Vicky Lowry said it’s a fantastic result after 27 events, and will be a significant economy driver for the region.
“The crowd will be event bigger than in 2019, which was the Tim McGraw year, when we announced at the Chairman’s Reception that we had a capacity crowd,” Mrs Lowry said.
“We’ve also seen a record number of under-13s tickets sold this year, which we believe may be because of the appearance from The Wiggles.
“Ever since we announced we were on track for a sell-out, people have been asking why that is.
“I don’t believe it’s any one thing - it’s a combination.
“Last year we got to about where our younger crowd and family crowds were about 50-50.
“It’s also the line-up, which is very good this year, with The Wiggles drawing a few more families.
“The last 10 years, we’ve also done a lot of work to turn the event around and provide more around the ground activations.
“This year we’ve added some on the Thursday for campers who arrive early too - even though it’s all up in the air. We’ll have Red Bull pilot Matt Hall do a fly over as part of the gate opening.”
Mrs Lowry said based on the number of ticket holders who entered the gates early last year, there’s expected to be at least 16,000 on site on the Thursday before the muster.
Many will arrive early and stay in the region beforehand, which she said is “great for the town”.
