No strike for SunRice

At the beginning of the month, the UWU said a second strike would occur on February 21 if SunRice didn’t come to the table.

Now the UWU has an offer on the table for a pay rise of 12 per cent across four years.

A few issues remain for the union — mainly conditions for casual workers — but progress is being made.
