New year, new life

While most were bringing in the new year with fireworks and festivities, Airlie Stella Carruthers couldn’t wait another day to celebrate too, becoming the first baby born at Goulburn Valley Health in 2023.

A first child for Teliah Ciccone and Zeke Carruthers, Airlie was welcomed into the world at 1.26am on January 1, weighing 3.465kg (7lb 6oz).

Airlie was due January 2, but new mum Teliah called her early arrival a “good little present” to celebrate the new year with.

Teliah and Zeke are enjoying getting to know their daughter at their home in Barooga, visited by lots of family and friends who are eager to spoil the couple’s first born.
