The funding has been used to purchase two new speakers, which music teacher Matt Kiley said will be added to the school’s audio system and put to immediate use for assemblies, performances and major community events such as Carols in the Park.
Rotary president Iain Goodway visited the school to formally hand over the speakers to the Year 11 Music class.
It was one of his final acts as Rotary president, having handed over the reigns to Simon Genoff at the Rotary Changeover Dinner this week.
Mr Goodway said Rotary was proud to support the school, particularly after the challenges it has faced following the November fire.
“The school is a great supporter of our Carols by Candlelight event, so it is wonderful to be able to help improve their audio equipment for both school and community use,” Mr Goodway said.
