Run by Shannon Uren, the daycare is located at Mrs Uren’s home, which she said allowed for a more relaxed environment.
“It’s a small, comfortable, home-like environment. It’s a personal touch really,” she said.
Mrs Uren, who is registered under Kids Individual Daycare Solutions, has worked in childcare for more than 16 years, both in long daycare and family daycare.
Originally from Strathmerton, Mrs Uren ran the Nature and Nurture Daycare before relocating to Cobram.
Her new premises can cater for a total of seven kids, four children up to school age, and an additional three school-aged children.
Mrs Uren said one of the many benefits to sending a child to a small daycare was familiarity and a smaller size which allowed more individualised care and education.
Stocked: The daycare is stocked with all the essentials to ensure children get a well-rounded experience.

“The children see the same educator and that builds a sense of wellbeing and comfort in their environment,” she said.
Children at the Family Daycare will be able to grow and learn through individualised educational programs and excursions.
According to Mrs Uren, excursions would allow the children to experience large group social dynamics, ensuring they get a well-rounded early childhood educational experience.
“It’s the best of both worlds, they get the benefits of a small group environment but they also get to experience large group environments as well,” she said.
“A lot of people think daycare is just babysitting but there is a lot of growth and development in those years. The programs provided will help build the children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.”
