Cobram and District Harness Racing Club hosted an eight-race card on Sunday with Mystic Chip winning the trophy race of the afternoon - the Katunga Clydesdale Hotel Trotters Handicap.

The Cobram Veterinary Clinic Pace (1st Div) over 2170 metres opened the day with Rebellin Ruby ($9) bolting away to win by 15 metres.
The second race was the Menthas of Cobram Pace over 1670 metres.
Ida Thoughtso ($1.55) was the firm-favourite, however, Coveffe Hustler ($11.30) edged out the race by a length.
It was the four-year-old mare's first win from 16 starts.
The 2170 metre Katunga Clydesdale Hotel Trotters Handicap was the feature race of the afternoon and the nine-horse field had a number of contenders.
In the end, it was a shootout between Mystic Chip ($3.20) and Starlight Red ($13) with the former winning by four metres.
The Glenn Sharp-trained mare was good value for the win after a placing in its previous two races with.
Josh Duggan was in the cart for all three races.
Next up was the Cobram Veterinary Clinic Pace (2nd Div) over 2170 metres and there was little challenge to $1.50 favourite Rockinfeelgood driven and trained by Shepparton-based Laura Crossland.
It was the mare's first race at Cobram and it paid dividends with the five-year-old producing its best winning mile rate of 1.59.8.
The 1670 metre Hocking Trading Pace (1st heat) was the fifth race on the card with James Herbertson producing a front running masterclass to win with Aveiro ($15.80) by two metres over unbackable favourite Celerina ($1.30).
The Bakers Delight Pace over 2170 metres was next up with Ellen Tomey saluting on El Gran Senor NZ ($2.80).
It was the six-year-old gelding pipped race favourite Alpe De Huez ($2.50) by a neck.
The penultimate race of the day was the second heat of the Hocking Trading Pace.
Shark Port ($3) was well driven by Tania Ward to win by half a length over Goes Boom ($2.90).
The eight-year-old gelding is in a nice patch of form with the win in Cobram coming after back-to-back top-two finishes in Shepparton.
The De Maria Mitsubishi Pace over 2170 metres was the last race of the day.
There was a number of genuine chances, however, that wasn't really reflected in the race with Spunkyola ($5.80) showing great from to win by three metres.
Abbey Turnbull saluted in the cart of Spunkyola meaning it was an even split of male to female winning drivers for the day.
Cobram has two trails coming up on Sunday, September 22, and Sunday, October 22, before its next meet on Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday, November 5.
