A council spokesperson said around half of its customers had low water pressure, while others had no supply after the outage occurred.
Emergency repair works were undertaken by council’s water services team, and filtered water services were restored around 9pm on Tuesday.
The team completed some flushing of the water mains overnight to ensure all areas in Moama had filtered water services restored.
On the morning of Wednesday, April 30, the spokesperson said some customers may still notice a slight drop in water pressure, which would be fixed over the coming days.
If customers noticed air bubbles in their water, the spokesperson advised running a tap for at least five minutes, or until the bubbles cleared.
Discoloured water can also be helped by running a tap for five minutes, especially as a precaution before washing light-coloured clothing.
Those with ongoing issues can contact council’s customer service team on 1300 087 004.
