The crisis has given everyone pause, and healthcare will continue to be front of mind as restrictions are lifted and we approach flu season.
While COVID-19 is an evolving health concern, Mivo Park Medical Clinic is committed to the health and wellbeing of you and your family.
“We are booking appointments for face-to-face consultations at the surgery as well as telephone consultations,” practice manager Linda Stewart said.
“Heading into flu season and trying to book patients for their flu vaccine is always a challenge, but even more so this year,” she said.
“We are happy to say that our doctors and nurses have managed to administer nearly 500 flu vaccines since April 1.
“This was achieved by holding our flu clinics outdoors, and more flu clinics will be booked as vaccines become available.
“Anyone who has already put their name on the list to get their flu vaccine will get a phone call in due course.”
Ms Stewart said the phones were busier than normal and she asked for patience and understanding.
She said anyone who was experiencing any flu-like symptoms was asked not to attend the clinic but to ring first for advice.
The clinic has been servicing the Cobram community and wider region for more than 15 years.
It offers a range of services including general appointments, referrals and access to specialists as well as mental health services, management plans for team care, diabetes support and physiotherapy. The clinic can also support patients in other ways such as tele-health conferences, women’s health, vaccination and child immunisations, nursing services, skin cancer checks, minor surgery, pre-employment assessments and weight loss programs.
