Mitchell Shire seeks passionate locals for 2025 Community Awards

Council seeks expressions of interest for members to join the Community Awards Committee for the next two years.

Anyone passionate about community service and interested in selecting the next round of awardees is welcome to contact council’s governance team.

Additionally, council is looking for community groups to host the Community Awards and Citizenship Ceremony in January.

This is a unique opportunity for groups to play a pivotal role in these significant community celebrations.

Mitchell Shire Mayor Louise Bannister said hosting this event would be a fantastic opportunity to bring the community together and celebrate the achievements of locals.

“The day is all about coming together to honour and celebrate the extraordinary contributions that make our community a wonderful place to live,” she said.

“Whether you’re a community group looking to host or you’re getting involved with the Community Awards Committee, this is a fantastic chance to give back to the community and say thanks to dedicated locals.”

Applications close Monday, July 8.
