Stud owners Samantha and Steven Schwebach said they would have two alpacas for people to come and see at this year's Seymour Alternative Farming Expo.
Samantha said Eden Rise Alpacas loved coming to the expo to educate people about how alpacas make great livestock additions and companion animals for hobby farmers.
"It's a great opportunity to learn more about alpacas," she said.
"We'll educate on what a wonderful and unique animal they are, what they can produce with their fleece and also how they're good herd guard and companion animals."
Patrons can also get their hands on knitted products from the fleeces and fibres of Eden Rise Alpacas, including mittens, beanies and scarves, as well as imported alpaca products from Peru, such as ponchos, jumpers, throw rugs and socks.
The family is also very excited to be launching a new endeavour, as their daughters introduce their own business — Eden Rise Australian Miniature Goats.
Samantha said Claudia and Ava would be bringing two very endearing and friendly mini-goats called Milo and Toffee, who were sure to win crowds over with their wonderful personalities.
Eden Rise Alpacas and Mini-Goats are based in Glenaroua.
The alpaca business started about 14 years ago and the farm has about 50 alpacas, which are used for fleece products and bred to produce healthy and well-handled animals.
