NCN Health has partnered with Many Mobs Indigenous Corporation to bring ‘Yarn Ups’ to Cobram once a month at the Cobram campus.
Many Mobs is a community-focused group whose mission is to bring people together and foster connections. All community members, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous are welcome to attend the Yarn Ups for a cuppa and light lunch.
NCN Health Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Lead, Sheridan Davis, said the monthly event was slowly building momentum.
“NCN Health is on a journey to become a more inclusive and welcoming health service for all.
“The Yarn Ups are a great way to bring people together and build relationships with our Indigenous community members.
“We have been lucky enough to have a variety of local and interstate Indigenous leaders and artists host the Yarn Ups so far. We have a small group attending the sessions and we’d love to see that reach further into the community to include all ages and backgrounds.
“The Yarn Ups are simply about learning from each other and having conversations.”
Yarn Ups are held monthly, on the third Monday of the month. The next date is Monday, May 15.
