Owners John and Krystle Mantovani have been operating a wholesale business for more than a decade and have plans afoot to open a providore in Cobram CBD.
Manto Produce has won the best horticulture business award.
Mr Mantovani said they were absolutely thrilled to win the award.
“Just to be recognised for the hard work we’ve been doing is great,” he said.
"We try to make a difference in the community. We like to try new things and think outside the box.
“Not everything works, but you’ve got to try to not be afraid and try new things.”
Mr Mantovani said the family is excited to be opening the new providore.
“It will be across the road from McDonalds,” he said.
“It will be a nice place for tourists, and local people, and to come come and buy some local products.”
Mr Mantovani said there will be some celebrations at the weekend.
“It’s also my 40th,” he said.
“So we’d planned to have a couple of drinks anyway. But now we have something else to celebrate too.”
