Details relating to a man being shot in Deniliquin’s west on Tuesday evening remain a mystery to the public.
Police were unable to release any further information regarding the incident before going to print yesterday.
In an appeal for information released in the early hours of Wednesday morning, police suggested it was a “targeted” incident.
A 39 year-old man presented to Deniliquin Hospital with a gun shot wound to his right foot.
Police went to the hospital to speak with him about 9pm.
The man was later taken to Bendigo Hospital where his condition was listed as stable on Wednesday morning.
A crime scene was established at Hussey Lane and Macauley Street, Deniliquin, which has been examined by specialist officers.
