A man who crashed his car at Muckatah at the weekend was allegedly drink-driving.

Senior Sergeant Nathan Ractliffe of Cobram police said the driver was found by the side of Sandmount road at about 1.30am on Saturday, April 29, having driven his car off the road and into a culvert.

A breath test found he allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, Sen Sgt Ractliffe said.

The driver had been stopped by police late on Friday afternoon while driving in Yarrawonga.

For the Muckatah incident, a 22-year-old Shepparton man will be charged on summons for drink-driving and driving while suspended, to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

For the Yarrawonga incident, he will face a charge of driving while suspended.
