The microorganisms that have been identified are Aspergillus tubingensis, Sordaria humana, Penicillium paneum and Paenibacillus glucanolyticus
While these moulds and bacteria pose minimal risk to the general population, there is a remote risk to people who are immunocompromised, as they may become unwell if they are exposed to these micro-organisms.

00522E04 — expiry May 2025 and 00522E05 — expiry May 2025 in the 75g and 00822E30 — expiry May 2025 in the 200g are also affected.
No other batches are being recalled at this time.
The Therapeutic Goods Administrations have advised any one who has a container of Lucas’ Papaw Ointment to check their batch numbers by assessing the “crimp” at the top of the 15g tube or the bottom of the 75g and 200g containers.
