Locals, visitors gather to remember

A large crowd braved the darkening skies to attend the Remembrance Day ceremony in the Deniliquin Waring Gardens on Friday.

The crowd represented a combination of defence force personnel, local council members, schools, veterans and the general public.

A great array of emergency service uniforms were also spotted among the crowd, possibly enhanced by the number of agencies in the district to help with the flooding crisis.

As part of the service, each representative group was invited forward to lay a wreath at the Deniliquin Cenotaph.
