Murray River Council’s customer service centres, libraries and depots will be closed for the Christmas/New Year period from 2pm on Wednesday, December 24, and will reopen on Monday, January 5.
For all emergencies relating to compliance, water and/or roads, the call centre number is available 24-hours-a-day: 1300 087 004.
Kerbside bin collection will be on the usual days throughout the Christmas and New Year period, except for collection scheduled for Thursday, December 25, will be collected on December 26 and collection for December 26 will be collected on December 27 instead. Normal collections will resume on Monday 29 December.

All waste facilities, including return and earn depot in Moama, will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. All other operating days remain the same.
Gannawarra Shire Council
Some of the key changes that will be in place during the Christmas-New Year period for Gannawarra Shire residents include:
Council’s customer service centres will be closed from 2pm Wednesday, December 24, and re-open Friday, January 2. VicRoads services via the Cohuna customer service centre and V/Line bookings via the Kerang customer service centre will not be available during this period.
Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library will be closed Wednesday, December 24, with all library branches to resume between Friday, January 2, and Monday, January 12, depending on location.
The Cohuna and Kerang transfer stations will be closed on Friday, December 26, with all other opening times occurring as scheduled.
The Cohuna pool is closed on Thursday, December 25, and will operate during the hours of noon to 7pm on Friday, December 26, and Thursday, January 1.

Kerbside waste and recycling collection services scheduled for Thursday, December 25 will occur on Saturday, December 27; and kerbside waste and recycling collection services scheduled for Thursday, January 1, will occur on Saturday, January 3.
The Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre will close at 6pm Tuesday, December 23, and re-open at 8am Tuesday, January 6.
