Ms Kerr, a member of the Oaklands CWA for 37 years, was presented with the prestigious award by the CWA Murray Group last month.
Ms Kerr was very thrilled to receive the honour.
“I was very surprised and delighted to become a Life Member,” she said.
“Every aspect of CWA is enjoyable, from the opportunities to learn and develop personal skills, to the chance to travel and make lifelong friends from all walks of life.”
For Ms Kerr the most rewarding aspect of being a member of the CWA is working to improve the lives of women and girls, especially in rural and remote areas.
“Serving the community is also very satisfying,” she said.
“Knowing that through CWA, big changes are possible.”
Ms Kerr is the only Life Member of the Oaklands branch.
The CWA is an organization that has been serving rural women in Australia for over 95 years. Among its members, there are countless individuals who have made significant contributions to the organization and their communities.
