Cobram-Barooga Apex Lawn Mower Races committee chairman Nabeel Ahmed said this year there would be a venue change from Scott Reserve to Cobram Recreation Reserve and Racecourse.
“It's a great space,” Mr Ahmed said.
“We’re hoping the change in venue will also create a bit more excitement within the races as the track layout can be altered.”
Mr Ahmed said there would be a bigger range of food on offer, including a barbecue, ice cream, fairy floss and coffee.
The club is also hoping to have a few different activities set up to entertain the kids, including a bouncy castle.
“We haven't had the opportunity to sit under shade in previous years but this year we should have a shaded area for people to be undercover,” Mr Ahmed said.

Committee member Scott ‘Scooter’ Gleeson said they usually had around 40 competitors from all over the state.
“There’s an A-class, which is the bigger mowers that are 450cc and upwards, then a B-class, which is around 250 to 300cc, the C-class is up to 250cc and the D-class is up to 200cc,” Scooter said.
“These guys can hit speeds of 80km per hour plus.
“We’ve also got two junior classes, one that’s for more advanced juniors and then one for beginners, and they’re smaller capacity, 110cc mowers.”
Scooter said some of the junior competitors could be as young as six and said organisers also ran a ‘show and shine’ with the lawn mowers.
“We put all the mowers out on the track, and then we invite everyone out on to the track to have a look at the machines and see what they're all about,” he said.
Entry to the event will be by gold coin donation, with the gates opening at 9.30am and the races set to at 10.30am.
