The Moira Jobs and Careers Expo is set to connect jobseekers with about 50 local employers, training providers and community organisations at the Cobram Civic Centre this June.
The event, running from 11am to 4pm on Thursday, June 19, aims to support jobseekers, students and career changers by providing access to real job opportunities and career pathway information.
Moira Shire Council, in partnership with Berrigan Shire Council and Workforce Australia, has organised the expo to strengthen the region's workforce capabilities.
Council chair, administrator Dr Graeme Emonson, said participating in the Moira Jobs and Careers Expo is not just about finding a job.
“It's about joining a meaningful event that enhances our region's skills. We believe that by connecting jobseekers with local employers, we can foster growth and create a vibrant community where everyone has the chance to thrive,” he said.
“We've received tremendous support from our local businesses and industries, and we sincerely thank them for partnering with us to make this event possible.”
Attendees can explore employment opportunities and receive practical advice to advance their careers. The expo will showcase local organisations looking to connect with future talent.
Further information about the free expo, including participating organisations and registration details, is available on the council website and Facebook Event Page.
