Grants boost tourism and community pride in small Victorian towns

State Member for Ovens Valley Tim McCurdy is encouraging local communities to apply for the latest round of the Victorian Government’s Tiny Towns fund.

The program offers grants between $5000 and $50,000 to support projects that boost tourism, strengthen liveability and build community pride in towns with populations under 5000.

Eligible applicants include incorporated not-for-profit community organisations, with co-contributions accepted through a mix of financial and in-kind support.

Mr McCurdy said the fund provided an important opportunity for smaller communities across the Ovens Valley to bring forward priority local projects.

“These grants have already delivered real benefits to grassroots initiatives across regional Victoria, and I’d love to see strong applications from our Ovens Valley communities this year,” Mr McCurdy said.

“This funding is a fantastic chance for our smaller towns to secure support that can make a genuine and lasting difference.”
