Go behind the scenes at Open Day

Fire + Rescue NSW Deniliquin firefighter Dylan Osborne will be on hand with something special for the kids.

It’s no secret that kids love fire trucks, the lights, the sirens and the really large truck with all its equipment.

Tomorrow, you can make their dreams come true by taking them to a real fire station with fire trucks, and to meet the firefighters.

The annual event is put on by Fire + Rescue NSW and the Deniliquin station is ready to give residents a glimpse into the service.

“Come behind the scenes to meet our firefighters, see our trucks in action, check out our equipment, and learn more about Fire + Rescue New South Wales,” Captain Marty Smith said.

“The Deniliquin crew will be on scene to answer your questions, show you what brigades do for their local community and help you prepare your home for a safe winter.”

You can attend the open day between 10am and 2pm Saturday. The station in located at 264 George St, Deniliquin.

There will be a free barbecue and giveaways.
