Musical director Grace Hall said it was really rewarding to see how the kids grew over the course of the production.
“I am continually blown away, they just get better every show.”
Ms Hall said the musical had a great storyline with valuable lessons in it for children.
“I think it’s so important to be able to see a woman being put in the lead, being powerful and learning that you don't have to follow a man all the way to Harvard,” she said.

She said her favourite part of the show was when all the kids took a bow at the end.
“Sometimes I start crying because I'm like, ‘I'm so proud of you, and you're getting the recognition that you deserve,’” she said
Layla Newman, 16, played the lead character, Elle Woods, and said she loved how Elle proved she didn’t need a man.
“She’s kind to everyone, even when they probably don't deserve it,” she said.

Noah Watson, 13, auditioned for the role of Warren and was surprised when he was cast.
“I was really shocked ... but I was definitely happy that I got the role. It’ll probably be the first and only time I’ll go to Harvard,” he said, laughing.
Megan Presland, 15, played Brooke Wyndham and said acting was her dream career.

“When I get the phone call that I got the role, I jumped around for two minutes straight,” she said.
“I was so happy, telling literally anyone that would listen.”
Megan’s major scene in the show was when she had to skip and sing for almost two minutes straight.
“It was so hard ... going from not skipping for seven years to skipping and then belting,” she said.
The kids involved in the musical all agreed it was a lot of fun.

Benita Plattfuss, 15, played the character of Chutney Wyndham and said her favourite part was getting laughed at for her crazy makeup.
“I had to do huge eyebrows and neon green eyeshadow,” she said.
Chloe McLaren, 14, Eloise Hourigan, 11, and Jakobie Branch, 14, all agreed the show was lots of fun, and they would definitely be in next year’s performance.
Keep an eye out for the adults’ musical production later this year; and if you're sad you missed out, the junior production will be on again next year.
