There will be plenty of action on the course over the next week in the lead-up to Christmas, and the golf course will be open throughout the festive season.
There is also a chance to have a final Christmas social outing on the next two Friday nights when meals will be available, and Christmas raffles will be operating.
All the usual events will take place over the holiday period, and the course will also be open for anyone who wants a social hit. So, if you have visitors and want some fresh air and a chance to walk off the extra kilos, why not head down to the club for a hit.
The driving range will also be open for those who want to sharpen their game and work on improving their handicap in 2024.
Over the past week, there was a Stableford event last Thursday, when Pauline Davis had a super score of 44 points, which is a great round off a handicap of 11, to score a comfortable win from runner-up Prue Chalmers 36.
A fourball event was played on Saturday, and the winners were Jarod Sommerfeld and Geoff ‘Zorro’ Bessell with 47 points, from David Cox and Mark Binns, who took the runners-up prize on countback from Bryan Bennett and Russell Begg.
In Wednesday’s stableford event, the A grade winner was John Radeski with 38 points from runner-up Frank Conallin’s 35, and in B grade, Bernie Biggs had 41 to win on countback to Geoff Bracken.
Coming up, we have a string of Stableford events tomorrow, Tuesday (9 holes), Wednesday, Thursday and the following Saturday.
