Deniliquin businesses and organisations have brought home four major honours from the 2026 Riverina Murray Business Awards ceremony in Wagga Wagga last Friday night.

Intereach had a double win, with other trophies going to Iain Goodway and Edward River Council were also among the winners.
Adding to the district's strong showing, the Deni Play On The Plains Festival received a highly commended award in the Outstanding Visitor Experience category, won by Whitton Malt House.
A total of 13 businesses and employees from the Deniliquin district were finalists in the regional awards, with the winners now progressing to the state finals in Sydney on October 30.
Leading the local success stories was Intereach, which secured both the Outstanding Community Organisation award and the Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion title.
The organisation was recognised for its commitment to accessibility, inclusion and community wellbeing, ensuring people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds can access the support they need to thrive.

Judges highlighted Intereach's innovative programs, strong community partnerships and focus on empowering individuals, which continue to strengthen the resilience and connectedness of regional communities.
Intereach was also praised for its accessible facilities, culturally inclusive programs, multilingual communication and partnerships with disability, cultural and seniors groups across the region.
Mr Goodway claimed the Outstanding Business Leader Award for businesses with 20 employees and under.
Iain Goodway, who was unable to attend the Wagga ceremony, was presented with his trophy this week.
He was recognised for his vision, resilience and hands-on leadership in transforming the Deni Golf Resort into a respected and growing regional accommodation business.
His commitment to strategic planning, staff development and community engagement was also acknowledged, along with his broader contribution through local organisations and community initiatives.
Edward River Council was awarded Excellence in Workplace Health and Safety for fostering a workplace culture built on safety, wellbeing and open communication.
The council's comprehensive safety systems and staff wellbeing initiatives, including Trademutt, BARD training and an expanding network of Health and Safety Representatives, were recognised for helping create safer and more connected workplaces.
More than 240 guests attended the awards presentation at Wagga Wagga's Equex Multipurpose Stadium, including federal and state political leaders and business representatives from across the region.
Wagga Wagga-based Halocell was named Business of the Year after also winning the Excellence in Innovation Award, recognised for its pioneering perovskite technology and its potential to transform global energy markets.
Business NSW regional director Serena Hardwick said the awards showcased the strength of businesses across the Riverina Murray.
“This year's winners are a true testament to the innovation, entrepreneurship, resilience and leadership we have across our region,” Ms Hardwick said.
“While current economic conditions continue to present challenges, these awards are an opportunity to recognise businesses that are adapting, innovating and continuing to drive productivity and growth.”
