After two years of watching and waiting as the new community complex on Sutton St has risen from the ground, it’s all up and operational — including the new EMFM studios.
The volunteer radio team is inviting you to join it in celebrating this fabulous community milestone with a cuppa and a biscuit, or three, from 10.30am to 11.30am on Thursday, September 8.
Station president Jim Harris said people should get a group of friends together and come down to check out the state-of-the-art setup — and watch Roger Peake as he puts his Pot-Pourri program live to air on the day.
Jim said the EMFM team loved showing off its new studios — a far cry from the station’s original ad hoc enterprise, which began in Matong Rd 25 years ago.
“If you come down for a cuppa and chat, you can mingle with board members and presenters and get a good look at how we do the things we do,” Mr Harris said.
