Deniliquin Edward Public School and Mathoura Public School both celebrated National Ride2School Day last Friday, with each enjoying an energetic and colourful day.

Students arrived on bikes, scooters and on foot.
And at Mathoura, one student even arrived on a horse.
The event, held ahead of the national celebration, encouraged students to choose active travel while promoting healthier daily habits.
At Edward Public, staff were thrilled to see such strong participation, with the school community embracing the initiative as a fun and positive start to the day.
The school also reminded students about important safety practices, including wearing helmets and walking bikes and scooters once they reached the school gate.
At Mathoura, the day began with a special whole-school breakfast.
During recess, the basketball court was transformed into a road safety riding circuit for the K-3 students, where they practised recognising and responding to road signs.
The Year 4-6 cyclists took off on a group ride around Mathoura, following all road rules and enjoying the company of their classmates.
