Melissa Crisafulli opened D’Vine Ideas nearly 18 years ago in 2004 and despite more recent challenges, she is still going strong.

To celebrate reopening and to channel the Christmas spirit, D’Vine Ideas will be holding a special shopping event from 9am to 9pm on Wednesday, November 17.
Ms Crisafulli said she’d always had a dream to bring stylish gifts and homewares to Cobram; she took the plunge and opened the shop shortly after she was married.
“It was something I knew Cobram lacks, so basically there was an opportunity for something I’d always dreamed I’d do,” she said.
“We’ve always been known to the locals and always been a business that’s kept new and interesting stock coming in.
“It was a bit of a scary time (during COVID-19 restrictions) ... but we sort of navigated our way through it and managed to find ways to stay open when possible.”

This included click-and-collect services and door sales, meaning customers had been unable to enjoy the large on-trend displays Ms Crisafulli prides herself on.
“What you see this week, then what you see the next week I promise you the shop will be very different,” Ms Crisafulli said.
“It’s certainly very challenging when you’ve got a store that’s very visual and relying on people coming in and picking up and touching and seeing your product ... we definitely had a lot less foot traffic.”
From 9am until 9pm on Wednesday, November 17, customers are invited to come in and get their holiday shopping done, or simply grab a bit of homeware and gift inspiration.
If a customer does decide to make a purchase worth $20 or more on the day, they will receive a gift from homeware and scent brand Ecoya.
“We’ve always been big on in-store events and we’ve always done events every year that we’ve been open,” Ms Crisafulli said.
For every $20 spent in-store, shoppers will also receive an entry into a raffle with prizes from some of D’Vine Ideas’ most popular brands, including Maxwell & Williams, Peppermint Grove, Ecoya and more; for example, $40 is worth two entries, $60 is worth three entries and so on.
“People just love it because they can come in and they get to see what’s new ... they’re going to be really excited to see what we’ve got,” Ms Crisafulli said.
