Among the many activities available will be the inflatable Aqua Island, bearing in mind there is a requirement for a minimum age of six, and a compulsory 25 metre swim test.
Entry to the pool is free and there will be a free barbecue and give-aways. Make it a family afternoon out.

You can pick up your free copy of the 2026 Lions Calendar, which is now available from various outlets around town, including IGA and the newsagency.
In previous years these popular calendars have been delivered to your door or letter box, but due to an unfortunate altercation with a dog last year, which left the Jerilderie Lions Club secretary with a nasty leg wound, Lions members decided to cease home deliveries.
So, thanks to all the Christmas elves who have helped Lions to make deliveries around town in the past; you can now concentrate on your other Christmas-time activities.

Keeping the above advice from the Sturt Highway Taskforce Committee in mind, and with tongue in cheek, I thought the following from among Pioneer Remedies worth sharing:
‘Snake Remedy – Drink one-half pint whiskey upon rising. Keep an eye peeled for snakes throughout the day. Drink one-half pint of whiskey before retiring. Repeat daily in case snakes appear.’
