Daffodil Day was another groundbreaking occasion this year with more than $11,000 raised.

Last Thursday, community members across Deniliquin marked the day raising funds for the Cancer Council of NSW.
Two fundraisers ran simultaneously - a joint effort in Napier St and a Deniliquin Florist fundraiser in Cressy St - helping to turn the town yellow.
There was a strong gathering of supporters swarming for baked treats and fellowship at the morning tea outside My Shop in Napier St.
Many people passing by stopped to see the delicious goodies on offer for the cause.
Cups of coffee, tea or soup were also available, as well as tickets for the annual raffle with tables and chairs for people to sit and enjoy the day.
My Shop owner and longtime Daffodil Day event supporter Denise Phillips said while figures were still being counted, organisers could confirm they have raised over $11,500 so far.

This included a $2000 donation from the Rotary Club of Deniliquin, with Rotary president Simon Genoff there to officially hand over the donation.
Mrs Phillips said she was amazed by and grateful to the many people who still came and brought food or supported the day and Deniliquin more broadly, despite the overcast conditions and rain.
She thanked all the volunteers, supporters and the businesses who donated the raffle prizes announcing Gail Williams as the first prize winner Bernadette Wilson second prize and Lorraine Beer third in the raffle.
Deniliquin Florist also got into the spirit of the day, holding a barbecue and cake stall, while selling bunches of bright daffodils.
Thursday was the 40th anniversary of Daffodil Day allowing those who got involved to reflect on their efforts over the years.
