With NAIDOC Week falling in the school holidays, Deniliquin South School last week gave students the chance to recognise the occasion early.
The school held its NAIDOC Assembly on July 2, celebrating ‘50 years of Deadly’.
Student ministers ran the assembly, guiding the program and presenting the day’s acknowledgements.
Principals’ honour cards were handed out, along with awards for the colouring‑in competition.
The ministers also took on colouring competition judging duties, making the task of selecting winners a challenging one.
