That’s the design choice Felicity Jefferies and Billy Michael made for their Deni Business Chamber Deni Lights Up entry this festive season.
The young couple strung up so many lights in the front yard of their south-east Deni home, it was like a shining beacon.
Coloured globes and classic warm white fairy lights were combined to bring a glow to the home at 347 Sloane St.
Using their large tree out front, a few shapes and Christmas themed messages, some Santa cut-outs and a few blow-up characters - some of which fell victim to the strong winds some nights - the look was complete.
The design seemed to resonate with the community, who voted their entry as the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
For appealing to the voters, Felicity and Billy have won a $500 voucher to be spent at award sponsor Harvey Norman Deniliquin.
Community members could vote for any one of the more than 30 homes registered to be included on the Deni Lights Up map this year.
Of the 218 votes received, Felicity and Billy received more than half, with a total of 111.
The second highest number of votes went to 114 McCrabb Rd (40 votes), followed by 114 Crispe St (23 votes).
Every person who voted also went into the draw for a prize - a Deni Ute Muster sponsored pack including a 2026 ticket, blue singlet and stubby holder.
This was won by Blake Knight.
Deni Lights Up is an annual Deniliquin Business Chamber initiative.
