In June 2025, the project received development approval for a 30-year operating life, bringing lasting social and economic benefits to the local community and surrounding areas. The project will also support an annual Community Benefit Fund, further strengthening its impact.
Community drop-in sessions in Colbinabbin
The project team will host community drop-in sessions to provide information, answer questions, and engage directly with local residents:
- Tuesday, 30 September 2025 | 2:00pm – 5:30pm
- Wednesday, 1 October 2025 | 8:00am – 12:30pm
Location: Colbinabbin Memorial Hall, 36 Mitchell St, Colbinabbin, VIC 3559.
Sessions will be limited to 10–15 people per group to allow meaningful conversations and interaction with the project team. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the project’s next steps and how they can become involved.
The Cooba Solar Project team is committed to keeping the community informed as the project progresses, including through further consultations and information sessions on the final project design and management measures prior to construction.
