The atmosphere was upbeat from start to finish, with live music, whips cracking, and plenty of family‑friendly fun alongside the NSW Whipcracking Titles, butchering, Light Horse and blade‑shearing displays.
A mechanical bull and inflatable jumping house proved popular with the kids making for a great day out for the whole family.
Local whip crackers performed well in the NSW Whipcracking Titles, with a few podium finishes.

Politician’s bull ride
NSW Member for Murray Helen Dalton may have missed out on the mechanical bull at the Conargo: A Day of Legends event on Saturday, but she managed to find herself on one at the Riverina Field Days.
Posting to her Facebook page, Mrs Dalton managed longer than the typical eight seconds.
But she shared it with the caption “Much harder than it looks!!”.
Tradie Challenge set
The Deni Ute Muster’s Tradie Challenge build has been set, with four teams needed to construct the Great Aussie Chook Pen on Friday, October 2.
They’ll have six hours to complete their builds before the pens go to auction on the Saturday, with all proceeds supporting the Country Education Foundation in the Edward River Region.
Prize money is on offer for all placings, and every team scores Muster entry, making it a fun and competitive charity event.
Free movie screening
Intereach is hosting a free screening of Seen the Film today, with two sessions at the Deniliquin Town Hall.
The 90 minute documentary explores connection, relationships and childhood, followed by a pre‑recorded Q&A and complimentary refreshments.
Session times are 11am and 6pm, with audience asked to arrive half an hour beforehand.
With limited seats available, bookings are essential.

A Tocumwal local is heading into Easter $2.8 million richer after buying a division‑one winning Saturday Lotto ticket from Clarks News and Lotto.
The unregistered winner has chosen to stay anonymous, but the store is celebrating its third division‑one sale.
The mystery player was one of seven national winners, each taking home more than $2.8 million.
Flash flooding input
Edward River Council is asking residents to share their experiences of localised flash flooding as part of its Overland Flow Flood Study.
