A great afternoon was held on Sunday for John O'Dwyer’s 100th birthday at the Community Club.

About 150 people celebrated with John and the O'Dwyer family.
Guests travelled from near and far, and many stories were told covering the last 100 years which which brought lots of laughter and a few tears.
There were special cards, noteably from King Charles and Queen Camilla, The Governor-General of Australia Samantha Mostyn, and Federal Member for Farrer Susan Ley.

Barefoot Bowls is back every Wednesday evening from this week, starting at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.
The comp will go through to March 11.
Grab your friends and workmates and form a team of three.
New bowlers are especially welcome, and bowls are available.
Cost is $10 per person with a free sausage sizzle after play.

The Berrigan Library will be holding a card game morning tomorrow, January 29, at 10.30am.
Come along and enjoy a game of Canasta, a cuppa and great company.

The Berrigan War Memorial Pool Committee thank the community for the great response for working in the canteen.
The pool has been very busy with locals and visitors.
There are a few days where more help is needed - January 26 and February 6, 7, 9, 12 and 15.
If you can help, please speak with a committee member when you visit the pool.

Berrigan’s thirds footballers will start pre-season training tomorrow, at 5pm.
Whether you are starting out, coming back or just looking for a team where you belong, come along.
Berrigan’s seniors have already started pre-season training, and will continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 5.45pm.

The Berrigan Red Cross has re-opened after a well deserved Christmas break for the volunteers.
There are new opening hours - Monday and Friday from 9.30am to 1pm, other weekdays from 9.30am to 3.30pm and Saturdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Berrigan Golf Community Club will be holding its next Trade Day this Sunday.
The competition will be a one person ambrose, with tee off at 9.30am.
Cost will be $20, which includes a barbecue.
There are some great prizes on offer, with $200 for first prize, $100 for second and $50 for third.
This is a fun day for all levels of golfers.
