The free event will be held on Thursday, October 15 at the Lockington Community Centre.
Doors open at 12.30pm, with the concert commencing at 1.30pm, followed by afternoon tea.
The concert will feature popular four-piece band The Stiletto Groove, known for their energetic performances and hits from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
The band comprises two couples, sisters Gabrielle Murphy and Tina Bowden, along with their husbands Graham Murphy and Phil Bowden.
“I'm from a big musical family, with lots of sisters and we perform together for different things,” Gabrielle said.
“In this format, it's probably been the best part of 20 years.”
The band draws on a broad repertoire, blending classic rock, country, R&B and harmony-driven favourites.
Phil Bowden handles lead vocals alongside Gabrielle and also plays harmonica and percussion, while Phil and Graham both play guitar.
“We mix it up when we can and try and tweak our repertoire to suit the audience,” Gabrielle said.
“You tend to choose songs that are strong, great songs.”
Crowd favourites include ABBA numbers, Paul Kelly songs and a Dixie Chicks cover.
“I really enjoy doing the one and only Dixie Chicks song that we do, Some Days You Gotta Dance; it is just a great song,” Gabrielle said.
“It is a country thing, and it is full of harmony and everyone gets to let their hair down.”
The band also performs Love is in the Air and opens with Brian Cadd's Little Ray of Sunshine.
“Love is in the Air is a song that always gets everyone up, we have had a conga line around halls at some of these seniors’ festivals, it is a real mix of ages, and it is just a great song,” Gabrielle said.
“It is a treat, and I feel really blessed to be able to get up there and do this music with members of my family.
“It is important that music is actually hitting these small towns. It is really nice to be able to bring music to them.”
The event will feature the popular band The Stiletto Groove, known for their energetic performances of hits from the 1950s to the 1970s.
