The new app provides an easy and reliable way for residents to check bin collection days, receive reminders, report missed or damaged bins, learn what belongs in each bin, and stay informed with the latest waste-related news and updates.
To ensure a smooth transition, the existing Moira Shire Waste App will remain available until July 1, 2026.
Moira Shire Council chair administrator Dr Graeme Emonson said the new platform was designed to make everyday tasks more convenient for local households.
“The LoopedIn Councils waste app offers more user-friendly features that support busy families and households,” Dr Emonson said.
“This upgrade is a positive step forward for our community, and we will be supporting residents throughout the transition so everyone feels confident using the new app.
“Our community has demonstrated that they are great at waste separation, managing contamination in recycling and green waste and we feel this app will help extend that further.”
The new app is free to download from Apple Store and Google Play, and is now available to use.
