Big crowd for launch

Avid readers and history buffs alike attended the launch of Betty Matthews’ book Challenging Times at the Deniliquin RSL Club on Sunday.

The book provides a detailed record of the No. 7 Service Flying Training School, which operated at Deniliquin Airport during World War II.

Paying tribute to this era, Sing Australia Choir regaled the audience with music as a slideshow of pilots who lost their lives while stationed at Deniliquin was shown.
