The workshops, held at Tocumwal and Finley Libraries, aim to boost digital confidence and help participants learn essential online skills at their own pace.
Supported by local library staff, these sessions are the perfect opportunity for seniors to explore the digital world in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Mayor Julia Cornwell McKean said digital skills are becoming increasingly important for everyone.
“Whether it’s staying in touch with family and friends, shopping online, paying bills, or accessing important information, these sessions make technology accessible and enjoyable for everyone,” she said.
Participants will learn practical skills including:
- Using email, smartphones and tablets
- Getting started with social media
- Safe online shopping, paying bills and internet banking
- Sharing photos and staying cybersafe
The workshops are free, although registrations are appreciated.
Seniors are encouraged to book their spot by visiting or phoning the Tocumwal or Finley Library.
These sessions are part of the Tech Savvy Seniors program, supported by the NSW Government in partnership with Telstra.
