Trade day was at Numurkah this past week with four four-game winners.Pat Quinane and team won with 65 points, ahead of Chris Thomas and team with 64 points.Best first and second went to the other four game winners. Best first went to Lindsay Browning and team and best second went to Jack Dell and team, both had 63 points. Best third went to Ross Henderson and team with +12 and best fourth went to John Wright and his team with 18. The attempt to win the jackpot was played by Bob Adams on behalf of his team, but was unsuccessful.
Keith’s Friday had 20 hardy bowlers attempting to win the jackpot, but all were unsuccessful, and is now worth $154.Winners of the day were Geoff Brentnall and Jill Toohey with 14 shots up, ahead of Mike Whelan and Heather Crosthwaite with five shots up.Best first game went to Ray Wright and Ken Newton with 13 and best second game went John Bruce and Peter Linquist with 15.
Women It was another beautiful day for bowlers last Monday, with 2-4-2 played.A close competition saw a draw in one of the first games and no two-game winners. Overall, Shirley Dean and Betty Oldham won the day.
Coaching saw 16 bowlers test their skills at drawing to the jack. Great to see so many keen to improve their bowls and take on valuable advice.Coaching is on each Monday at noon. Please arrive 10 minutes early to start on time.
