Last week's question. How many grand finals will Barooga win?
Answer: Well, the answer is two. But what a great effort from everyone in the club to get five teams into grand finals.
A great weekend for the club with two premierships. Divisions one and two winning the final and division four going very close.
On Friday, unfortunately both division one and two lost, but congratulations to both teams in making it to the grand final. Results of all games are posted on the web but it is important to mention that this is three premierships in a row for division one. A great effort for the club.
The Central Goulburn Murray Pennant Championships will be held locally this year on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22. As Murray is the host division this year, travel will not be a problem. It will be at a venue to be announced but there is no reason it could not be at Barooga.
Thanks to the members of the social committee who supplied food on Friday and Saturday after the games which enabled everyone to stay and enjoy the celebrations, win or lose.
On Friday, March 13th, after Keith's Friday, there is to be a sponsors night starting about 6 pm. The club would appreciate it if members could attend in club attire to show the sponsors appreciation for their support. There may be a bit of bowls played but the night is social in nature so all welcome.
Men's 100-up, which is the final men's event for the year, needs numbers, so get your name in for that. First round is March 15th.
Unfortunately with all the finals being on, Keith's Friday has suffered but now that all the finals have finished and bowlers are looking for some entertainment on a Friday they can come down every Friday from now on. Names in by 12.30 pm. Games start at 1.30 pm.
Finally, Share the Wealth is on, so get your name down for that event which is being held on Tuesday, starting at 10 am.
